Young Scholars Institute of the Bay Area
YSIBA is an academic enhancement and support program designed to close the gap in academic achievement for underserved student populations in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. YSIBA was founded based on the core belief that all students can surpass expectations when given the necessary academic tools and direction.

The Nation's Report Card
Based on 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) results, the white-black gap in 4th-grade reading has widened 5 points since 2007. And in California, the 38-point gap between those two groups in 8th-grade math (the same as it was in 1990) is the 4th-largest among states.
